Preparing for Potential Coronavirus Impact
The Health, Safety, and Experience of our Employees, Clients, and Communities is Our Top Priority
At Consilio, the health, safety, and experience of our clients and employees is our top priority. As we continue to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we want to share essential actions we are taking in response to this rapidly evolving situation.
To help ensure the health and welfare of our team, our clients, communities, and the broader global economy, we are initiating an immediate transition to a remote-work model across our global offices. Taking this action will help ensure that our teams will be safer and better equipped to continue to deliver the high-quality service experience that you expect. This transition will also include migrating active review projects (and review teams) from on-premise to Secure Virtual Review. New review projects will utilize Secure Virtual Review moving forward for the foreseeable future as well.
In nearly every region that we operate, we are monitoring the rollout of social distancing measures, either mandated or strongly recommended by regional health and governmental authorities, to fight community transmission of Coronavirus. The extensive preventative actions we have taken — from halting business travel, educating our teams, and increasing sanitization and cleansing of all of our global locations — will not reduce the chance of contact transmission as effectively as social distancing can. Therefore, it is in the best judgment and interest to take these decisive steps to prioritize the health and safety of our employees, their loved ones, and their communities in compliance with issued mandates and known best practice guidance.
I know we have spoken to many of you already directly, and for some you are currently engaged in Secure Virtual Review, but if you are unfamiliar, Secure Virtual Review enables your reviewers — already qualified and trusted to deliver on your projects — to establish an encrypted connection to a secured and monitored Citrix review. This virtual environment and your data remain secure, hosted within our data centers at all times. The entire Secure Virtual Review experience is identical to the review experience you and your reviewers are already familiar with. Every process and tool, from productivity- and time-tracking to secured email and review platform functionality, is the same. Our internal support teams are fully trained in successfully managing and delivering Secure Virtual Reviews.
We understand that migrating to virtual reviews may be a new concept or one under consideration as part of your contingency plans by you and your teams. We have fully trained teams and prepared resources to assist in answering any questions you may have. And, should you need others in your organization to speak to our review or information security experts, we are ready to assist.
We have also partnered with KLDiscovery to provide global collections assistance to leverage each organization’s local resources to reduce employee travel and prevent service disruptions for our customers. In addition, defensible self-collections are also available worldwide as an alternative to traditional on-site collections. Forensically-sound collections are performed by IT professionals or end users, and then encrypted files are shipped back to a secure lab.
Containing the spread of the Coronavirus is a collective effort, and I ask that we all do what we can to protect each other as well as the broader community.
Stay safe and thank you,
Andy
