Summary

Generative AI (Gen AI) is a new technology with great promise, but there has been a near-frenzy created by the enthusiastic marketing and the breathless headlines. As service providers in the legal industry, we feel it is incumbent upon us to resist the hype and thoroughly test any new technology before promoting it to our clients or turning it loose upon their data.

To that end, Consilio has spent the past year engaged in an active pilot program, testing a variety of Gen AI models in a variety of contexts with a variety of clients. Recently, in one of our monthly series of public educational webinars, we took the unprecedented step of pulling back the curtain on this pilot program to share some sample projects and the lessons we’ve learned from them.

We share this information out of our desires to provide education to practitioners and to contribute to the legal industry’s ongoing efforts to develop best practices for leveraging these powerful new tools.
