Legal thought leaders, clients, and prospects gathered at Consilio’s largest ever annual client education event

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 18, 2023 – Consilio, the global leader in legal technology solutions and enterprise legal services, has concluded its largest marquee client education event to date, Consilio Symposium 2023. Over 450 attendees joined the virtual event gaining CLE credits as well as insider perspectives on the evolution of legal solutions.

The Consilio Symposium took place over two days, from June 21-22, featuring an enriching schedule organized by Consilio’s Advanced Learning Institute (CALI). The symposium began with a keynote speech by Manoj Saxena, widely recognized as the “father of IBM Watson” and the current Executive Chairman of the Responsible AI Institute. The two-day program, divided into three distinct tracks, encompassed a series of educational seminars and discussions, providing attendees with meaningful interactions and the chance to accrue Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. The event culminated in a dynamic panel discussion featuring respected federal judges Andrew Peck (retired, now Senior Counsel at DLA Piper), William Matthewman, Maria Valdez, and Xavier Rodriguez. They dissected a spectrum of pressing issues at the intersection of technology and law.

“For the last 15 years, our Symposium has proven to be a vital resource for legal professionals to stay abreast of the dynamic landscape of legal, data, and technology practices. This year was no exception,” said Michael Pontrelli, Managing Director, Global Strategic Client Experience at Consilio. “Our goal was to educate as well as spark innovation. From the feedback we’ve received, it’s clear that participants found the expert-driven content invaluable in navigating these complex fields.”

“The Consilio Advanced Learning Institute provides real-world, actionable knowledge to legal practitioners,” said Matthew Verga, Director of Education for CALI. “The Symposium presented a comprehensive slate of educational content, blending theory and practice to address the newest challenges. This year’s Symposium’s record-breaking attendance and continued positive feedback demonstrate the pressing need for this programming. We look forward to continuing to deliver cutting-edge content that drives the legal profession forward at next year’s event.”

As a non-commercial center for thought leadership, research, and education for legal practitioners, the Consilio Advanced Learning Institute draws on internal and external experts in forensics, eDiscovery, document review, legal technology, enterprise legal operations, and related subjects to provide accredited CLE content, educational practice guides, whitepapers, articles, and more.
